The Origin of Super Mario

The famous Super Mario game was created by legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto at Nintendo.

In 1981, the character Mario first appeared in the arcade game Donkey Kong. At that time, Mario was not called Mario his original name was “Jumpman.”

In the game, Jumpman’s mission was to rescue a woman named Pauline from a giant ape called Donkey Kong.

Later, the character became so popular that Nintendo turned it into a full video game series.
